The Diggle Scholarship is governed by a set of procedures and guidelines as outlined by the School of Business at the University. The key provisions are as follows:Selection Process:The Scholarship Committee, appointed by the School of Business, is responsible for reviewing all applicants for the Diggle Scholarship.Up to five finalists will be selected by the Scholarship Committee for consideration.Donor Involvement:The Donor, Mr. Douglas S. Diggle, has the privilege to review the finalists selected each semester by the Scholarship Committee.The Donor may provide written comments to the Scholarship Committee based on their review.FERPA Compliance:In adherence to federal regulations, particularly the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Laws, the names and other identifying information of the finalists will not be disclosed to the Donor.Recipient Determination:The Scholarship shall be awarded to the recipient selected by the University, subject to certain conditions.Financial Aid Consideration:The University’s Financial Aid Office will assess whether the selected finalist has reached their financial aid "budget" limit.If the finalist has exceeded their financial aid limit, they will be deemed ineligible for the Diggle Scholarship as additional financial aid. In such cases, a second finalist, meeting the specified criteria and not exceeding their financial aid budget, will be awarded the Diggle Scholarship.These provisions ensure a transparent and fair process in the selection and awarding of the Diggle Scholarship while taking into account financial aid considerations and complying with relevant privacy laws.
