We are proud to support African American college students in achieving their academic aspirations through the Diggle Scholarship. Established with a commitment to fairness and transparency, this scholarship has empowered countless students to excel in their academic and professional journeys. Selection Process: Our dedicated Scholarship Committee, appointed by the School of Business, rigorously reviews all applicants. We select up to five finalists based on academic merit and leadership potential, ensuring a thorough and equitable evaluation. Donor Involvement: Mr. Douglas S. Diggle, our esteemed donor, personally reviews the finalists each semester. His invaluable insights and written feedback are integral to our selection process, ensuring we uphold our shared commitment to academic excellence. FERPA Compliance: We adhere strictly to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The privacy of our finalists is paramount; their names and identifying information remain confidential throughout the review process. Recipient Determination: The final scholarship recipient is chosen by the University, with specific conditions to ensure fairness and integrity. Our Financial Aid Office assesses each finalist’s financial aid "budget" limit. Should a finalist exceed this limit, another deserving candidate who meets all criteria and stays within budget constraints will be selected.
