Born and raised in several foster and group homes in Queens and Brooklyn, New York, Doug "Biggs" Ellison strived to develop a strong sense of self and self-reliance overcoming the fact that his birthmother was deemed unfit to raise him. It wasnt until he was eight years old when Ellison found trust and stability in a foster mother who officially adopted him at the age of twelve. Her humble beginnings have been a source of inspiration in his life: he describes her as an exemplary model of strength and independence as a life-skills coach, epitomizing nurture, and serving as the catalyst that jump-started Doug's ambitious mentality as a go-getter. Influenced by foundational hip-hop trailblazers, Ellison developed a love and a passion for music. In pursuit of mastering professional business savvy and music production, he enrolled at CUNY/Queensborough Community College, Five Towns College, and later at Full Sail University. Majoring in business management and a minor in audio production. Biggs commitment to self-improvement has been a constant motivation in his development as an industry professional. Though he had been employed as a chef, telemarketer, real estate agent, and manager at an insurance company, the will to bring real music and raw talent to the forefront of the entertainment industry became a driving force. Biggs quickly recognized that his share of experience from learning the hard way, know-how in finance, and training as a manager were valuable and profitable assets.
