COVA are a leader in delivering challenging large-scale EPC / D&C projects across the Bulk Material Handling and Organics sectors. Delivering projects up to $100m, I was responsible for leading the COVA PMO team in securing and delivering successful D&C projects from concept and design through to construction and commissioning, achieving client requirements by delivering excellent solutions.Supporting COVA's huge growth during this time, I established and grew the PMO team to over twenty people, while establishing project management systems to support the projects.Major projects delivered during this role were BMEF Shiploader, DWM Organics Facility and FPA Clinker Import Circuit.

As a Senior Project Manager, I specialised in the management and delivery of large, complex industrial design and construct projects.Predominantly focused on the BMH and Organics sectors, I worked on interesting and challenging projects across existing and emerging markets. Responsible for all aspects of the project from tendering, concept and design, through to procurement, construction and commissioning, I managed the successful delivery of the BMEF Shiploader project, while building the PMO team to support the delivery of this and other projects.

As a Project Manager I specialised in the management, procurement and delivery of multi discipline services fit-outs and refurbishments.Predominantly focused on the retail sector, I worked on interesting and challenging projects across Australia. With a client-side focus, I delivered the building services design and construction support of national roll outs for tier 1 retailers including Kmart, Myer and Target, as well as the HomeCo transformations including base build and many boutique and supermarket tenancies. In addition, I was responsible for the management and implementation of internal projects for the business. This included virtualised IT infrastructure, a new ERP system, and the construction and fit-out of SEMF’s offices in Hobart and Sydney.

Branch manager for the Hobart office of Russell Smith. In this role, I was responsible for a team of 12 office staff and 40 field staff, while maintaining my project management duties.

In the role, I worked closely with another Project Manager on the construction of the Menzies site in the CBD, where I took on some assistant duties, as well as shop drawings and building documents using CAD software. Following this, I went into a contracts administration role for eighteen months, building invaluable experience in other aspects of the business and industry, such as data entry, system maintenance and invoicing. I then moved into a full-time project management role and was responsible for one of our largest industrial clients, Nyrstar, as well as managing large commercial construction projects such as IMAS and Risdon Prison.
