Doug is responsible for Telstra’s Property, Fleet, Workplace Assets, Transactions & Development activity across the group’s portfolio of commercial, retail and industrial property, exchange buildings, leased towers and telecommunication assets. Doug’s core priorities include maintaining tenure, maximising balance-sheet value and managing operating cost across the complex portfolio of more than 12,000 sites, accommodating 30,000 Telstra employees and providing them with the right workplace technology assets and an operational fleet of over 6,500 vehicles.

As Head of Corporate Projects and Workplace and a senior member of the Group Property executive team at Westpac, Doug’s key focus was to reform and reshape the bank's corporate property portfolio. Step one was to write get executive endorsement for the Corporate Property Strategy which identified an average 30% reduction in space potential at each lease horizon. During his tenure, the Bank transitioned from an aging decentralised portfolio to new and revitalised workplaces for over 15,000 employees with efficient accommodation and agile working. In addition, Doug implemented a streamlined program governance system for annual capex project execution, as well as leasing, workplace operational and sustainability programs and strategies.

Prior to Westpac, Doug spent 6 years at Deutsche Bank in ANZ and Asia, delivering a new 450,000 square foot Hong Kong head office and Equities trading hub at the 118 storey International Commerce Centre as well as new offices in Shanghai, Manila, Auckland, Melbourne and fitout projects within Sydney’s Deutsche Bank Place.
