I have practiced law for almost 40 years, primarily representing employers in defending workers compensation cases, and defending truck drivers and trucking companies when sued after a crash. I have also litigated and tried automobile, premises liability, and products liability cases. My best attribute as a litigation lawyer is the ability to objectively evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of my case at an early stage of the litigation, allowing my clients to resolve their claims quicker and cheaper. I have used those skills for the last 3 years as a panel neutral with Miles Mediation to help other lawyers resolve their cases. I have a strong belief in the Jewish ritual of performing mitzvot, or good deeds, as a means of tikkun olam, helping to perfect the world. To that end, I have represented two inmates on Death Row in habeas proceedings pro bono, and was able to save both from being executed. Having been blessed with rare blood, AB negative, I regularly donate plasma and platelets. As of January 2020, I am please to have donated 12 gallons of blood during 96 lifetime donations.
