Develop, implement and maintain the operating group activities to maintain the daily safe and efficient operation of the facility. Provides management, operation, maintenance, the technical staff and administrative employees in developing, maintaining, planning for, tracking and recording the activities related to Employee Development and Plant Safety. To establish and maintain adherence to all applicable local, state and federal safety requirements and to establish training programs for both Employee Development and Employee Safety.

Responsible for the development and implementation of plant safety procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as well as employee development programs. Conduct plant inspections and investigations and make recommendations to prevent unsafe or hazardous conditions from occurring. Oversaw dust, noise and hygiene levels surveys and maintain appropriate records. Accompanied Federal, State, and other regulatory inspectors during inspections and ensure the availability of emergency response supplies for the facility. Ensured compliance with the facility's programs such as hazardous materials, spill prevention safety data sheets and chemical inventory. Assisted in the coordination of emergency response teams, monitor fire suppression systems and general fire protection throughout the plant. Maintained compliance with mandatory training requirements, work with management team to develop training programs which will increase the safety awareness, productivity, and personal / professional development of employees. Gathered data, compile information, and prepare reports. Maintain accurate safety and training records regarding staff development training programs and safety. Reported and worked with all incidents to our workers comp and occupational health care professionals

Supervised a Waste to Energy facility that accepted over 900 tons a day of municipal waste that was processed into Refused Derived Fuel (RDF), combusted in two Riley Stoker traveling grate boilers. The steam generated drove a 25.3MW General Electric Turbine Generator.I oversaw and supervised the safe and proper operation of the facility in accordance with established operational procedures and policies, federal and state permits. Insured that the facility was operated within the guidelines of the DEP regulatory license requirements and directed the operation of the facility to achieve production goals. I assisted and advised the Plant Manager on operational and personnel decision making. I supervised a ten man crew and trained them to maintain a safe, professional and productive work environment.

Costigan, Maine

I recorded and maintained boiler room logs, assisted the control room operator in the safe and efficient operation of a steam boiler. I performed chemical testing of the boiler water and monitored the plant fire systems. I also was in charge of a lumber kiln in the proper drying operation and transferring product from saw mill to planer mill.
