While employed at precision mine repair I was a general laborer. I was involved in theconstruction of overcast for mine ventilation, the forming and pouring of concrete padsfor use in underground shops and storage areas. I also ran a variety of drills forprecision mine repair including cp drills, sinking hammers and jack legs. I haveexperience in bolting roof and ribs with jacklegs for support and installation of screenwire to hold loose roof, and prevent falling roof/ribs. I was also involved in thespraying of gunite where we would use the material to coat roof and ribs to build theunderground maintenance facilities.Willow Lake Mine- Scoop Man, Roof BolterWhile employed at Willow Lake Mine I was a section scoop man. I have experience operatingmany different pieces of equipment such as Long Airdox scoops, DBT scoops, DBT ramcars,shuttle cars, mini tracks, and Fletcher double boom roof bolters. While roof bolting atWillow Lake I was charged with the task of securing the mine roof, scaling loose top, rockdusting and correcting any deficiencies that I could, and reporting what I couldn't. Ialso worked on face ventilation while at Willow Lake mine. I assisted in the direction ofair on the unit by building stoppings, hanging block curtains and line curtains.

Wild Cat Hills Mine

I started out at Wildcat hills as a roof bolter on the unit. I was responsible forsecuring Mine roof, scaling loose roof, making methane checks, and assuring bolt patternswere with specifications of our roof control plan. I was a roof bolter for a period ofabout 2 ½ yrs. I then transitioned to the role of Production supervisor and fill in MineManager. In this role I was in charge of section ventilation, assisted with the majorventilation changes, Complying with both federal and state laws, and the health and safetyof the men and women working under me. While performing this job I was also responsiblefor the coordination of loading operations on the unit. (Cutting cycles, scheduledmaintenance, clean- up program, rock dusting). In this position I developed timemanagement skills, leadership skills, and good problem solving skills. In August 2013 Iwas promoted to Safety Supervisor. I was responsible for a variety of tasks such asTraveling with MSHA inspectors on their inspections as well as state inspectors, airsamples on belt lines, Safety audits, compliance audits, methane checks, and developmentof safe work procedures, training on company policies, federal laws, state laws, accidentinvestigations and accident reports. I also coordinated all training for Fire brigademembers, EMT continuing education and numerous safety programs. I also trained employeeson accident investigation, root cause analysis, JSA,MOC, SWP, SOP's and accidentprevention. While safety supervisor I assisted with all respirable dust samples taken atthe mine site.
