As Solution Consultant, I manage the deliverables for a team of software engineers using Agile Project Management. Responsible for the development and management of Small-Scale Embedded Generator Solar PV projects for this Independent Power Producer.• Conducted feasibility studies to understand project parameters and identify risk factors• Negotiated contracts, managed contractors, and ensured adherence to contractual obligations• Managed financial analysis of projects• Built several models for undertaking efficiency projects, solar PV projects, PPA projects, and several off-grid and battery arbitrage proposals• Managed relationships with key stakeholders, including open lines of communication• Managed the assets at installed solar projects• Ensured standard maintenance and optimised performance at installed solar projects• Provided engineering consulting services across a broad range of energy-related activities• Liaised with local municipalities and authorities to ensure adherence to regulations and licensing when registering the system• Ensured reporting deliverables complied to regulatory requirements• Managed the operations and maintenance teams for routine and ad-hoc maintenance on grid-tied commercial PV, as well as smaller scale hybrid residential sites• Designed and scoped PV systems from residential to those over 1MW in size• Worked with EPC contractors to detail layouts and select equipment• Worked on several custom SLA and PPA contracts, and assisted with execution of FIDIC style construction contracts Project Highlights:★ 7MW Rooftop and Carport PV for Vodacom★ 1.17MW Rooftop PV at Coega Dairy, one of South Africa’s leading dairy providers★ 856kW Rooftop PV at The University of Pretoria
