Prepared Corrective Action Plan Parts A and B, and performed fate-and-transport modeling for underground storage tank facilities. Acted as senior review for CAP Part A, quarterly, and semiannual monitoring reports. Re-installed monitoring wells at Georgia Ports Authority site.

HYDROGEOLOGIST: Designed, conducted, and analyzed long-term pumping tests at a RCRA facility. Project included installation of recovery and observation wells into crystalline bedrock, and sampling and analysis of groundwater, and development of a computer spreadsheet to analyze aquifer anisotropy and estimate recovery well capture zones for design of a boundary control system. Used MODFLOW model to estimate the number of wells and pumping rate needed to dewater a shallow aquifer area to be contained by a slurry wall. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Completed a RCRA Facility Investigation of 8 SWMUs at a DoD facility. Prepared work plan for Remedial Investigations of 7 sites, and Feasibility Studies of 2 sites, at another DoD facility. Managed investigation at a small arms range at DoD facility, which included soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment sampling and analysis, and evaluation of remedial alternatives for removing metals (lead, copper, and zinc) from soils. Reviewed reports of geophysical investigations at industrial and DoD sites, and evaluated qualifications of geophysical subcontractors. GEOPHYSICIST: Conducted surface geophysical surveys at closed landfills, closed service stations, industrial facilities, and unexploded ordnance sites. Conducted borehole geophysical logging (caliper, natural gamma, electrical, temperature) in boreholes to evaluate screen placement, fracture locations, and stratigraphy. GEOLOGIST: Collected, analysed, and interpreted data for remedial investigations and site assessments at industrial landfills, hazardous waste disposal areas, UST/petroleum product pipeline sites, and industrial facilities. Installed groundwater monitoring wells (in unconsolidated sediments and bedrock), methane monitoring wells, and sampled groundwater and soil. Prepared work plans, remedial investigation/site assessment reports, decision documents, data summary reports, quality assurance/quality control plans, and Corrective Action Plans.

Planned, performed and supervised subsurface geological investigations in west Texas, east-central Texas, southeast New Mexico, and southern Oklahoma using seismic reflection data, geophysical borehole logs, sample reports, Landsat imagery, and gravity data. Plays evaluated included established trends, wildcat areas, and development opportunities. Evaluated porosity development in bedrock formations by using seismic models. Wrote proposals to drill wells, lease mineral rights, and to obtain geophysical survey data. Processed seismic reflection data for reconnaissance projects in far-west Texas and southwest New Mexico.
