A long tech journey that started Christmas 1979 with a TRS-80 Model I computer and a book of games written in Basic. Along the way I've worked with punch cards, dumb terminals, DEC VAX/VMS, OS2 Warp and some systems that still exist like Mainframe, Windows and Unix/Linux. I have roughly 29 years experience, 25 in Finance Tech and have worked for major companies like Bank of America, Wachovia, M&T Bank, and Boeing.Now I want to take all of that experience to the cyber security realm in the role of a SOC Analyst or Digital Forensics. As part of Ironhack's CYBINT Cybersecurity training platform, plus extra CISA certified courses, I've had training in Incident Handling, Network & Application Security, Forensics, Malware Analysis, Ethical Hacking and Incident Response. As part of this training I've learned to use many tools like Cisco Packet Tracer, Nmap, WireShark, Autopsy, Redline FireEye, FTK Imager, Splunk, Snort, FileAlyzer, Sysinternals, Volatility and more. This new training combined with my past experience will make me a valuable addition to any companies cyber defense team.Strengths:Incident Handling - I have an innate analytical ability which helps me resolve many problems for which others could not. This skill has allowed me to be successful handling problems regardless of the environment or application.Dedication - I put the needs of the company and my teammates ahead of my own. When there is a major issue going on, I stay around to lend a hand if possible. If my help is not needed, I still stay around to see what I can learn about the issue in case a similar problem occurs again in the future.
