Currently working as a senior developer on the goEntry product line. The goEntry product is an access control security appliance, with a built in webserver. The web application was designed using Adobe Flex. The web services leverage gSoap and are written in C, running in a Linux environment. In this role I am responsible for developing tools for import/export of data and device discovery and setup using Bonjour. The utilities were developed using WPF, WCF and C# running on the .net 4.0 framework. Used late bind techniques in COM to avoid circular dependencies.Developed an OCX to present configurable boards to the user for a selected micro. The user can then drag and drop the boards to a tree control, which displayed the current or desired configuration. The boards dropped would be check against the current configuration and set of rules for the selected micro and either accepted or rejected. Developed a Calendar OCX to replace a third party OCX we were experiencing problems with and unable to get a resolution. Responsible for implementing design of report generation and alarm, badge, and history managers in the original version.

Designed ArrayView for Window 3.1. ArrayView is a graphical performance and configuration monitor for CORE's disk array products. The ArrayView supported a Software Array, RaidStack, RaidRack, and a SCSI based Array. ArrayView is written in C++ and based on Inmark's zApp application frameworks. This product was successfully ported to OS2, Win32 and SCO Unix. I was involved in design of dialogs and dialog classes, inventory class (along with simulated data for testing without hardware) and disk array class. I was responsible for porting ArrayView to SCO Unix. Designed ArrayServe for SCO, a multithreaded design based on ucos threads used to provide communication between ArrayView (via sockets) and the disk Array through a driver (via shared memory). Past responsibilities include supporting and maintaining all tape backup software. Also responsible for code releases, ECR generation and maintaining source control. Also designed a SCSI based disk diagnostic and a SCSI based program to allow microcode uploads to the disk's flash rom.

Designed I/O diagnostics in C, i.e. Disc diagnostic, format and verify Disc program. Enhanced diagnostic products i.e. alternate tracking and sector substitution on a media verification disc program. Involved with the S.T.E.P. project to upgrade older (32/75) customer base. Required to get new diagnostic products and peripherals working and tested on 32/75 computer system, then package and release diagnostics.Other responsibilities include enhancing/writing script programs, fixing known problems in diagnostic programs for several product lines and closing associated SPR's. Making sure manuals are updated and technically correct. Responsible for code turn over and ECO generation. Incorporated customer code used to produce hardware problems into a test in the appropriate diagnostic.
