Technical Writer - Customer Service Representative
CurrentPOLICY AND PROCEDURES Interprets, disseminates, and explains technical manual policies and procedures for CECOM LCMC in accordance with LOGSA and APD standards and specifications. Provide policy guidance to CECOM LCMC technical writers to guide them through the technical manual development and/or sustainment process.FIELD SUPPORT Respond to field and other agencies requests for support regarding CECOM LCMC publications development and sustainment. Acts as a liaison for the user (soldier, civilian, contractor, Program Manager, and the Weapon Systems Team) and the support organizations (LOGSA and APD).ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING Ensures technical publications administrative data is accurate prior to sending to Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA) and the U.S. Army Printing Directorate (APD). Generates the AMC Form 1217 and DA Form 260 from the Equipment Publication Management System (EPMS). Prepares all necessary documents and forwards same, along with the completed manual, to LOGSA and APD for web posting on the Logsa Website and official printing and distribution by APD to Army field users.EDITING Use extensive computer skills to review and edit each publication for adherence to LOGSA/ APD specifications and standards to ensure DA Authentication.TRAINING Mentor Tech Writing Interns Teach Tech Writing Classes
