I develop BMT-HQS strategy for delivering EA and BA services, identify and develop best practice, set internal standards and review EA and BA content. In addition, I work with external bodies (TOGAF, INCOSE, BCS) to define skills progression/profiles for EA and BA roles within BMT-HQS to enable our EA and BA staff to develop professionally. The Multilateral Interoperability Programme (MIP) is a 29 nation (including NATO) standards body that is responsible for publishing Command and Control Information Interoperability standards used by NATO (Block2 - C2IEDM, Block3 - JC3IEDM). IPT-F was created to enable the standard to respond more quickly to change and do so with less resource. I helped the PMG (Project Management Group) identify the need for change. Facilitating meetings, providing information on agile methodologies, business analysis and architectures. I was selected to act as the Deputy Leader of the newly formed IPT-F, a multinational, multi-disciplinary team of 100 - 150 delegates. I developed the organisational structures and ways of working for IPT-F, combining SCRUM, architectural techniques (MODAF, NAF and SparxEA) and a Model Driven Approach for the development of a new service based solution. This new way of doing business enabled the underlying data standard to be transformed into a Platform Independent Model capable of supporting multiple operational services and exchange mechanisms.
