I did this while preserving crew safety, spacecraft safety, and mission success. I specialized in proximity operations and rendezvous as well as deployment operations and contingency operations for the deployment of satellites from the space shuttle payload bay.During the Space Shuttle Program, I served as a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Flight Controller responsible for developing, analyzing, performing, and leading flight and ground operations for a broad range of mission scenarios and flight systems. I provided expertise for Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) systems with detailed knowledge of various GNC sensors to flight directors and engineering counterparts. I provided real-time support for 14 missions through all phases of flight. I was GNC FCR certified. I demonstrated the ability to maintain cognizance of real-time operations and integrate GNC system operations with other control team members.
