Doug is a tenured technology and strength and conditioning professional focused on creating positive experiences and winning outcomes with partners and colleagues alike. With a BS in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Doug’s had the opportunity to work with professional coaches/athletes, all branches of the military and everyday athletes as a Senior Master Course Instructor for TRX Training - leading day-long courses and teaching TRX Training Methodology. He's helped people pursue and achieve their performance goals and aided coaches to elicit peak performance from their athletes.After losing a friend to lymphoma, Doug joined Team in Training and raised $10K for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He subsequently volunteered his time and expertise, ultimately becoming a Head Coach and led a team of over 100 participants, 25 volunteers, and 4 other coaches to help raise over $500K for the cause. Working in various sales and account management roles at Salesforce, American Express, Marketo, and DocuSign, Doug sought to improve his business acumen and hone his leadership skills. LEADing him (no pun intended) to applying, acceptance and completion of Stanford Graduate School of Business LEAD Business Program - the flagship yearlong online offering. During LEAD, he discovered that Leadership & Coaching has been a through-line in his career and where his greatest passion lies. He believes that "consistently good always beats occasionally great", that Growth Mindset is more a lifestyle than a book or cliché and trust is earned in drops and lost in buckets. It’s with this lens that Doug approaches work and life. As a 5x Ironman, 4x Chicago Marathon finisher and 4x Escape from Alcatraz triathlete, Doug loves to apply lessons learned from athletics to business - like quickly adapting to change, always moving forward and trusting the process... even when the process might entail running on a treadmill week after week going nowhere.
