I have worked hard to get Fred's Appliance firmly entrenched in the Montana retail landscape. From our first store opening in Missoula in April of 2013 to the Kalispell and Billings stores in 2013 and 2015 and the new Bozeman store in the fall of 2017, my team and I have been busy. Acquiring and training team members, getting stores set up and merchandised, refining the order process, and helping to define a new brand in these Montana markets has been challenging and rewarding. This has been an exciting opportunity to create a fresh culture of appliance specialists who truly appreciate the importance of excellent communication and customer service. Supported by a strong brand willing to bet on our growth, we have been very successful to date.

I led the Merchandising Department for Vann's brick-and-mortar and online stores, as well as ON. Oversight of Consumer Electronics, MAJAP, and IT assortment planning, program negotiations and attainment. Assisted in direction of sales training and marketing programs. Improved forecasting and supply chain management resulted in turns improvement for many key categories. Successfully created and implemented a new just-in-time special order process to improve availability of goods to clients. Improved tracking and collection of vendor accounts receivable funds.

Missoula, Montana Area

Assortment planning, stocking rates, merchandising direction as well as development and communication of promotions for 6 retail stores and online appliance business. Negotiated, monitored, and maximized vendor volume rebates and programs. Responsible for direct supervision of outside builder focused sales force, growing business especially in premium brands. Developed and implemented additional internal sales support system for external sales force.

Store Manager in our Kalispell MT showroom. We undertook a major renovation project, updating and improving the showroom with live appliances and home theater and audio rooms. I was responsible for between 20 and 25 employees from sales to installation and delivery. This was an exciting challenge, and the team I led quickly turned into a well-trained, high performance group. In a store that had not yet achieved $6 million in sales, we exceeded $7 million in revenues my last year in Kalispell, having seen strong increases from all of our Sales Associates. Sales training and role play, multiple operational improvements, and a strong commitment by team members helped drive strong market share growth and improved customer experience.

Fairfield Mt

Big Coulee Angus Ranch was our family's registered catlle ranch in North Central Montana. I was part of this operation with my parents and brother for approximately 10 years. Blue skies, hard work, creative problem solving, and resourcefulness were the orders of the day. I implemented a computerized record-keeping system, and produced our annual Bull Sale catalog.
