Nehemiah Gateway USA is an international aid organization with multinational coworkers. Our passion is to improve the lives of people in need and their communities in a sustainable manner.   We pursue this goal in the regions we work by establishing four building blocks: social and medical improvement, education and project empowerment together with the implementation of biblical core values including honesty, respect, forgiveness and compassion. Nehemiah Gateway USA is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation based on section 501(c)(3) of the federal IRS tax code. We are supported through individual gifts and foundational grants. Responsibilities include:• Oversee and manage an international aid organization with multinational coworkers across numerous countries.• Organize sustainability roadmaps and programs for remote and disadvantaged communities, working via both US-basedaid workers and local correspondents to deliver effective, culturally-cohesive aid programs.• Oversee the expansion of NG University programming and student recruitment in the Americas, Cuba, Mexico, Central and South America, including all donor management and staff oversight as a member of the organizational global management team.• Recruit students from participant nations to study at Nehemiah Gateway University in Albania (Pogradec).• Work with international staff to establish new partner programs and initiatives in target countries.

Served as President and Executive Officer in charge of global operations and fundraising for the corporation, as well as a member of the international Executive Board, and Chairman of that body for two years.International Aid Services America is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation based on section 501 (c)(3) of the federal tax code. IAS exists in order to save lives, promote self-reliance through business development, and restore dignity through human transformation - going beyond relief and development in the world’s most desperate communities. IAS America is supported through individual gifts and foundational grants.Responsibilities included:• Served as President and Executive officer in charge of global operations and fundraising for the corporation, as well as a member of the International Executive Board, and Chairman of that body for two years.• Designed and spearheaded IAS America’s mission to save lives, promote self-reliance through business development, and restore dignity through human transformation, going beyond relief and development in the world’s most desperate communities through oversight of the organization’s Business Development Services unit.• Collaborated with key vendors, donors, and third-party organizations to receive funding through individual gifts and foundational grants.• Introduced a variety of micro-finance programs and SME (Small- to Medium-Sized Enterprise) business development initiatives throughout the IAS ten target nations of East Africa, with the largest of the programs implemented in Ghana and South Sudan.• Assisted in funding and donor management of a comprehensive well-drilling initiative with over 350 staff members working to install over five thousand wells, impacting more than six million people directly through access to clean water and improved sanitation.

Served as president and chief administrative officer for a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization specializing in micro-enterprise for majority world.Responsibilities included:• Served as founder, President and Chief Administrative Officer for a nonprofit organization specializing in micro-enterprise for majority world nations, including but not limited to India, Sudan, Albania and Kosovo.• Led domestic fundraising and operational programming for the organization’s international efforts.

Responsibilities included:• Coordinated all corporate administrative functions, mailings, database, website, organizational volunteers and programming for the organization. Expanded organization’s operations into Africa and Europe.

Responsibilities included:• Acted as a liaison between the Albanian government and the expatriate NGO community. Provided professional services for the expatriate NGO community, including the negotiation of residency visas, taxation counsel, secure communication, resource center and clearinghouse to avoid duplication of organizational effort. Membership comprised of 70 international organizations and over 300 expatriate staff.• Coordinated Kosovo refugee relief and administered $1.2 million budget.• Organized indigenous Albanian NGOs in their efforts to administer aid to approximately 400,000 Kosovar refugees in Albania.• In conjunction with the United Nations, supervised and participated in trauma and grief counseling programs for Kosovar refugees dispersed throughout Albania.

Responsible for humanitarian efforts in Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, Ukraine and other nations in the former Eastern bloc. Scope included extensive planning and implementation for leadership training, educational programing, broadcast placement, publishing, resource development, assistance to children and international direction of more than 60 in-country and expatriate staff personnel at 12 European centers of operation. Responsible for all phases of operational emphasis, including budgeting, procurement, donor development, enlistment of paid and volunteer personnel and communication of key values. Joined executive staff at U.S. headquarters after seven years on the European field (see following).

Director of seven European offices and more than 40 full-time staff members. Oversaw an annual operations budget of more than $800,000. Between 1990 and 1991, coordinated the distribution of relief assistance to the former Soviet Union for the organization. During 1992-1994, supervised the establishment of more than 100 new outreach centers in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Assisted in registration of Mission Possible as the first non-profit organization in post-communist Albania, after Mother Theresa’s Sisters of Charity. Supervised construction and financing of two European operation facilities at a cost of more than $1 million. Distributed tons of humanitarian relief supplies in the venues indicated.

Responsible for research into the needs of the countries of Eastern Europe, including supervision of staff and equipment.
