Prior to joining Global Advance, Doug Mann served as the founder and President of Global Business Assist (GBA), a humanitarian aid organization dedicated to the empowerment of the world’s poor through business development. GBA changed its name in 2014 to Nehemiah Gateway USA. With thirty-two years of international nonprofit management experience, Doug has served on the board of directors of nine nonprofit corporations. Doug’s familiarity and shared passion with Global Advance for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and empowering indigenous nationals in majority world countries motivated him to join the Global Advance team in 2019.Much of Doug's career has been spent living in Europe, and assisting those in need throughout Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and the Balkans. During the late 1990’s while stationed in Albania, Doug facilitated the networking of over eighty international organizations during the Kosovo refugee crisis. Doug’s responsibilities with Global Advance include serving as the organization’s Director of Marketplace Missions and Alpha Relief.Doug is an ordained minister, certified educator, experienced speaker, Rotarian, and extensive traveler. Doug and his wife, Michelle, reside near Boulder, Colorado, where Doug works regionally for Global Advance. Doug and Michelle have three adult children, two serving as officers in the United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard, while their youngest is finishing studies in chemical engineering at the University of Alabama.
