Contracted to manage all of Tullow Oil's materials management functions. Provide group standards and guidelines, audit process, reporting function, company best practice. Manage a team of materials specialists to validate SAP roll out within Tullow, via Accenture, ensuring process flow, training modules, catalogue process and associated reporting functions were all fit for purpose. Establish standard yard and warehouse design for exploration activities and link to logistics and purchasing groups.

Responsible for Europe and Sub Saharan Africa inventory for all 9 product service lines. Ensure that inventory values were in line with agreed company KPI's. Coordinate region materials personnel efforts to introduce best practice while ensuring that all material requirements were met for each country/ PSL across the region. Report all KPI's on a monthly basis to region management team. Introduce demand based inventory practices and inventory forecasting teams to drive down excess inventory levels and deliver financial impact to the company.

Manage a team of materials specialists and gun loading specialists at Halliburtons birch moss facility. Coordinate gun loading schedule in line with operational needs. Ensure all HSE standards were adhered too. Introduce processes and procedures to maximise efficiency and reduce overall costs. Liaise with all external bodies to ensure compliance to company and country standards for explosives purchasing, logistics, storage etc. Develop succession plan.

Liaise with operations for material needs, procure, expedite and deliver in line with operational requirements. Provide supervisory role for small team of explosives specialists. Liaise with all company, audit and external inspection bodies to ensure compliance with all explosive legislation.
