On-air reports for affiliate stations in DC, Maryland, Virginia and markets up and down the east coast kept us busy, as did reports for NBC News Radio and the iHeart Radio app.It's amazing how much news we cover, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Manged the DC newsroom's news wire production. We produced customized daily and hourly news packages for 10+ markets and numerous local affiliate stations. Served as Clear Channel's national correspondent for breaking news stories including the Washington Navy Yard shootings and Super Storm Sandy.

Patch.com granted me another creative outlet with a weekly column for Georgetown Patch, focusing on local politics and culture in the nation's capital.

Starting out as a field reporter, I covered a wide variety of stories and issues in the nation's capital and DMV area. Being given the opportunity to anchor drive-time news segments for multiple affiliates was indeed a blessing. My newscasts were heard daily on WMAL, WPGC, WOL, WETA, WMMJ and WPRS - all in the Washington, DC market.

A first taste in writing op-eds examining some of the major stories in the District of Columbia: the deadly train crash on Metro's Red Line, the emergence of same-sex marriage in the nation's capital, the fight for DC voting rights in Congress and the city's AIDS epidemic. My aim was to show how these stories were were being covered in the media, as well.

My first live on-air experience occurred on 9/11, telling listeners where they could donate blood and relief items. Many media frenzies would follow, including reporting from the field during the DC area sniper shootings. In 2003 I was promoted to lead afternoon anchor and it was a busy year for us. We earned numerous Virginia Association of Broadcasting.

Internship at the Richmond Times-Dispatch's radio division. We appeared on Richmond's top rated radio stations, delivering short news segments and advertisements.
