Systems Engineer with 15 years experience across 4 companies in the healthcare sector. The start of my professional career began after I graduated UC Davis with a B.S. in Biological Systems Engineering with a minor in Quantitative Biology and Bioinformatics. In 2009 I obtained a job in the healthcare sector with Fresenius Medical Care where I sent roughly six years working in the dialysis industry. Over time I became the primary individual responsible for authoring the vast majority of test reports & verification protocols for the Fresenius 2008 hemodialysis division. While working full time, I passed the Patent Bar and took the steps to set-up my eventual licensure as a Professional Engineer in Chemical Engineering. This experience allowed me to obtain a position at Varian Medical Systems, where I performed verification and validation of the ProBeam Proton Therapy machine for 5 years. I was one of two individuals that led system verification as new treatment room types and treatment sites came online. In 2020 I rejoined Fresenius Medical to perform system verification for their 5008S hemodiafiltration machine 510k, and in 2021 I joined Mizuho OSI as a Senior Systems Engineer focusing on system verification activities for their surgical tables and associated soft goods.
