About Daniel Brooks

Explain your present role. ...I am currently working as a 2nd line service desk Analyst for Sytner IT, handling any escalations from the 1st line team that arrive via telephone, email, live chat and walk ins. My current role is normally office based, with occasional travel to dealerships within the Sytner Group to provide on site support. This means that we deal with all types of job roles, Sales, Admin, Hosts, Accounts, all the way to Heads of Businesses and Division colleagues. From a young age I was always interested in using technology through the exposure of games consoles, mobile phones and other technologies around at the time. As I grew up, I found that I liked to help people wherever I could, and what started off as a hobby on the side has developed into a career change in 2017 to where I am today - still working with computers whilst providing an exceptional experience.I receive positive feedback for my work ethic and results, not just from work colleagues, but through connections and acquaintances as well. This is demonstrated by moving up the ranks quickly at Sytner, being the main point of contact for projects and being the face of IT.I take great joy in helping anyone out really, whether this is a professional or personal capacity. This mixed with a stubborn attitude towards getting things done means I see things through and don't give up easily. This is reflected in my work by high ticket closures along with developing informative notes and guides so that knowledge is shared. I want to continue to learn new skills, to grow and inspire others and to continue to put my personal stamp on whatever challenges come my way.
