Responsible for several major projects: Capital Forecasting Database Application Commercial Network Registration DatabaseLiaising with End users over application requirements and negotiations for schedules for completion of same, passing requirements to team and supervising deadlines, announcing completion (or noncompletion) according to schedules.

• Project leader for BSCS Cleaning Project. Project was lying dormant due to perceived technical/logistic difficulties. Picked up project, turned it around, delivered cleaned smaller more efficient production system.
• Joint Project Leader for rating monitoring project. Project was lying dormant due to lack of resources. Picked up project, helped turn it around and implement monitoring on rating chain in billing system.
• Project leader for major Oracle 8i->9i upgrade of T-Mobile BSCS Billing. Tested through installation on (70+) test systems with all fixes being incorporated in Live planning.
• Project leader for 6 major software upgrades and ~20 minor upgrades for BSCS billing systems to add new services and technologies.
• Inspired new db/unix fallback system using split mirroring for fallback during major upgrades.
• Co-ordinated work through internal DBAs for 6 production Oracle databases comprising the BSCS Billing system and 70 – 80 development databases.

• Responsible for all customer side Oracle database systems. Managing Team of five DBAs/application administrators. Introduced new ways to work such as project working, incident working and service requests to improve.
• Senior Project DBA for Wise MigrationProvided advice and consultancy for large migration of B2B authentication systems from Oracle 8.1.6 to 9.2.0.4
• Senior Project DBA for Usage DSL Aggregation SystemInstalled and managed new Oracle 9i installation for UDAS. Installed and configured Veritas Netbackup system for DB hot backups with RMAN. Configured and tested.

• Responsible for major consolidation project to remove four HPservers and to consolidate applications to new N class HP server. Work included Unix Installation and set-up and also migration and upgrade of Oracle.
• Provided Consultancy during Release Wissel Upgrade of NUON Central SAP System. This is a 4Tbyte Oracle database with 1200-2300 concurrent users. Duties involved providing consulting advice and technical review for.

• Oracle:
• Setting up of Oracle 7.3.4./8.1.6. in an OFA environment.
• Consolidation of multiple applications in single Oracle databases.
• Restoration of both offline and online backups.
• Use of EBU and RMAN for backup/restore. Including cross-restore.Unix:
• Setting up Solaris 2.6/2.7 systems

• Operations System Administrator for Dealing Room Operations, ABNAMRO.
• One of a team of three system admins responsible for 10 production Compaq (DEC) Tru64 Unix systems and HP9000/HP-UX systems in a Sybase and Oracle Database environment.
• Planning and implementation of Big Brother monitoring system as a cluster service across all systems.
• Installation of new cluster using existing system together with newly purchased system for disaster recovery purposes.

• Project implementation engineer for Societe Generale de Surveillance in Spijkenisse.
• Responsible for worldwide Installation & Support of financial system. (SunAccount) running under NT/Oracle7.3.4 and HPUX/Oracle7.3.4. Installations were carried out on-site in Europe and Far East. Duties included.
• Setup of OEM for monitoring/tuning and administration of worldwide Oracle Installations from Spijkenisse.
• Designed and wrote Test Specification for Year 2000 issues in respect of SunAccount. Plan included BIOS checks on machine, basic OS tests and a full range of financial tests.
• Design, development and testing of MSAccess utility to consolidate financial data.
