About Darren Murphy

I am Principal Closure Planner with over 30 years of experience in project management and closure planning in the mining, power, transport and conservation industries. I have managed numerous mine closure studies for Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, MMG and AngloGold. I am a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) and proud to represent EIANZ on the Standards Australia mirror committee for development of the ISO mine closure standard. I also hav ethe pleasure of being a founding member of the Closure Planning Practitioners Association. I have a passion for developing mine site repurposing opportunities and leaving a positive legacy to future generations.
