About Danny Myers

Honestly it is to retire at an early age. I will work my butt off for anyone who employs me (you can ask my current and past employers about this I ALWAYS try and give 110%).As stated earlier (or for the first time now) I have a MCSA2003 and eight years in the IT field. I also run a theme parks computer system that has 150 Point of Sale Terminals and 150 Windows workstations along with dozens of other independent systems, if your interested I will make a list (fun things like the badge system, electronic lock system, networking standards for switches, and camera recording protocols, etc. ). I have 10 other workers that do specific tasks but help me when needed. Their roles are programmer, web designer, IT Manager, IS Manager, Alarm Technician, IT Technician, and Cable Technician. I also help them when needed, so basic knowledge of their job is a must (when I say basic I mean that, I can't write in C++, but I can find typos and things of that nature). That's about it...Specialties: Currently I'm working on web design and Virtualization. I have a strong understanding and use of Microsoft Server 2003 and 2013 core features and a basic understanding of Exchange 2013, VMware 5.5 , and Mitel 3300.

Listed skills include Windows Server, Networking, Software Installation, Computer Hardware, and 12 others.

It Manager

This position is very broad, I am responsible for every aspect of the computer systems, I also share responsibility with the phone systems, PA systems, security systems, games maintenance, structured cableing, and software developement. Our current project is a new POS system with thermal reciept printers, new computer hardware, and hand scanners. If I were to list all the things that I do it would be a mile long and my to-do list would be about a quarter mile.

Aug 2008 - May 2012

It Assistant

Athol

I was poatched by the Tech Office because a position had become avaliable and I assume they knew I was going to school to major in Technology. This position evolved over time, but I was responsible for the Point Of Sale (POS) systems, Camera Systems, network connectivity, hardware issues, and other things here and there. Durring the season my main responsibility was to keep an aduiquite level of working POS systems. Throughout any given day 1-10 systems would fail and have to be replaced. I was responsible for fixing the failed systems and returning them to the available stockpile. I also worked on my social skills be talking to people and educating them on how our systems work. My favorite thing to do would be to turn on the music in the office and open the doors on a warm summer night while I was working, best feeling ever!

Lifeguard Supervisor

Athol

This was an interesting year, I think I started as a lead lifeguard, but got promoted to a supervisor. A short time after this my Bosses, boss, Dan Hanks quit leaving no one in charge of Operations. This left Lynette Hughes in charge. I think she didn't like me because she demoted me and promoted another lead to supervisor. I quit because it just so happened that I was offered another job at a higher wage and worked there. A few days later I get a call asking to come back as a supervisor, I declined because of what happened. Got another call and got a nice raise and the supervisor title and responsibilities. I took it because it matched my new jobs wage and I liked Silverwood a whole heck of a lot more then my new job.The supervisor had all the responsibilities of a lead guard except instead of assisting in the daily inservice, you were the one instructing it. I also helped a little with scheduling people and keeping tabs on how things were running throughout the day. I also would assist guest when they had a comment or concern (usually height issues). There was one other supervisor and one Manager and about 70-80 guards this season.

Mar 2005 - Oct 2005

Lead Lifeguard

Athol

I got promoted to a Lead Lifeguard this year and boy was I excited. Being a lead back then meant a 10 cent raise, yes 10 cents! It was fun because you now got to help train all the other guards every day. The one thing I loved and hated was being the break monitor, this was done by the leads and all you did was keep trak of people breaks. We were having an issues with guards taking longer breaks and messing up the rotation, so they created this position. Over the weeks I started to do this more and more, and I hope it was because I hated to just sit there, so I would clean the break room (we didn't have a staff of 2-3 people cleaning tables and serving food like the wing over). I did this because at the time everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, thought the lifeguards were over paid and sloppy and I was trying to show them wrong. I digres, the leads also checked the equipment and did audits on the lifeguards. A lead guard was also there to help with any issues a guard my have. That was a fun season!

Lifeguard

Athol

I was a lifeguard at the newly opened Boulder Beach Water Park. When this place opened it was an instant success! I was a Special Facilities lifeguard, certified by Ellis and Associates. This year we went to the Lifeguard competition at Wild Waves in Washington and we took 6th out of 6th, but we believe that we were number one but they didn't want to give a first year waterpark that achievement! After the waterpark closed I worked in rides running the rollercoasters (I had some leverage because they were short on people and I wanted to work the costers :) )

Mar 2003 - Oct 2003

Ride Operator

Athol

I ran the Kiddy rides, but I was the Bupper Boat king, I would always work there for at least one of my shifts every day. most people hated that ride, but I loved it, there was always a line so you never had a change to be bored!
