Dr. Ashish is a motivated researcher who specializes in manufacturing and characterization of Aluminium Matrix Composites (AMCs) and Lightweight Aluminium Hybrid Foams (AHFs) for Structural Applications. His research is dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to enhance the performance of materials through the development of advanced materials. His expertise lies in several key areas, including processing of composite materials and lightweight foams, and heat treatment techniques. He is also skilled in microstructural characterization tools such as field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), electron probe microanalysis (EPMA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray microscopy (XRM) with micro-computed tomography (µ-CT), etc.Additionally, he has a solid grasp of the thermal behavior of materials using C-Therm apparatus, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques. He is also knowledgeable about the mechanical properties of materials and fractography. His expertise extends to tribological behavior, allowing him to analyze worn surfaces and subsurfaces to predict wear mechanisms and levels of deformation.
