I was part of the Future AI and Robotics for Space (FAIR-SPACE) hub at Uni of Surrey where I worked on providing more autonomy to future space missions. My specific areas of work included combining Reinforcement Learning with Model Predictive Control to come-up with sample efficient control policies for robots in space. Preliminary work done in MuJoCo for a free-floating space robot reaching a target debris can be seen here

The project Automato aimed at transforming Agricultural industry by deploying robots for autonomous fruit harvesting. I worked on Imitation Learning to teach a Franka Emika's Panda robot to learn a human like smooth trajectory to grasp a target fruit. This was a collaborative work with Indian Space Research Organization to minimize on-board micro-vibrations so as to get accurate readings from precision sensors. The sensors were mounted on a Stewart platform whose base was attached to the spacecraft. The aim was to come-up with design parameters of the Stewart Platform which minimizes the disturbance transmission.
