I have 28 years of experience working in the development sector as a trainer, researcher, consultant, professional in the field of Community Health care & Microfinance. As the group Chairman of Bhoomika Eye Hospitals I run a chain of eye care hospitals/clinics focused on providing eye care services, primarily focused on preventing avoidable blindness, to the rural poor in Orissa through a unique delivery model. This first of a kind model is unique in many aspects including taking eye care to the rural poor's door step, providing high quality services through district level hospitals and in the process training/employing rural youth to become eye care professionals - thus creating huge social impact to the community.
