Solely responsible for projects that developed algorithms which in turn enhanced the current product base and added significant value, specifically in traffic analytics and real-time traffic. This included the determination of trip modality from geospatial data and traffic volume estimation.· Developed Proof of Concepts (PoC) for future products including image recognition for the detection of dangerous slowdowns. One particular PoC has been applied for a patent.· Developed experience in working with a variety of Machine Learning and deep learning models for Regression and classification such as Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Networks and CNNs. Have also worked extensively with other non-ML techniques such as Fuzzy Logic, Kalman Filters, Information Loss and Entropy, Time Series analysis and Hysteresis.· Have also performed a number of data analysis and product quality monitoring projects in a team setting which made use of job queuing, RabbitMQ and Git.· Have been awarded two awards for excellence during this period with INRIX. The first for the innovation of a dangerous slowdown detector. The second award was for outstanding company culture for work done during a map update.

Extensive experience in processing, cleaning, calibrating, statistically analysing and presenting results from noisy datasets in a variety of programming languages and analysis techniques resulting in numerous peer-reviewed publications.· Developed sophisticated models using numerical methods in solving partial differential equations for astrophysical environments in Python resulting in a peer-reviewed publication.· Project manager of big data projects, managed a team of international collaborators, focusing primarily with data from the Low Frequency Array (LOFAR). Successful in leading the testing and development of strategies for polarisation calibration with LOFAR. Supervisor of numerous students in various data science projects including machine learning classification in radio astronomy. Founder and organiser of institute’s machine learning hack nights.

· Vital member of the then new LOFAR telescope commissioning team. Successful in the development and testing of various calibration pipelines and software used for big datasets. Resulted in the first ever image and publication of a nearby galaxy at low radio frequencies.· Scientific and statistical analysis of big astronomical datasets.· Presented results of commissioning and research at various conferences and meetings.
