About Elin Nilsson

I'm a doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) and Associate Professor at Umeå School of Business, Economics and statistics, Sweden. Currently, I have post-doctoral scholarship from the Swedish Retail and Wholesale Council (Handelsrådet) to do research regarding how consumer purchasing behavior is affected by digital interactions such as gamification. The titel of my doctoral dissertation was "Where to shop?: understanding consumers' choices of grocery stores." I teach in the fields of marketing and retail.

More specifically, the main focus was on how different situations (e.g., type of shopping) influence choices of grocery stores.
