Eric Bell is a research engineer based out of Philadelphia with expertise in climate change mitigation, greenhouse gas inventory development, and life cycle assessment. Dr. Bell completed his Ph.D. and postdoc at the University of California, Berkeley on the life cycle environmental impact of the U.S. food system. He has published several peer-reviewed articles on topics ranging from sustainable food-energy-water systems to environmental data modeling, and has taught undergraduate courses on climate change science and mitigation at both the University of California, Berkeley and Swarthmore College.Dr. Bell is a former middle school math teacher and believes that the development of scientific literacy plays a vital role in overcoming the many challenges that we face today. In his free time, he enjoys Southern Gothic literature, sailing on Lake Nockamixon, and hiking with his golden retriever, Scout.
