Genetic Epidemiologic Researcher treating Biostatistics and BioinformaticsDr. Ezra Eunpyo Hong is a Ph.D. Researcher at the Center for Genomic Medicine in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston MA, USA. He has graduated in Hallym University with BS in Statistics and Informatics. He also has a Ph.D. in Medical Genetics with Genetic Epidemiology and Bioinformatics strongly interested in research related to population genetics, which aim to identify gene/sequence variations and assess a risk prediction on human complex diseases such as cancers, age-related, and metabolic diseases, using candidate gene, large-scale GWAS, WES, WGS, and RNA-seq dataset involved the hundreds or thousands of study populations with subsequently applying Python and Perl languages. I investigated to identify susceptibility genes and develop genetic and non-genetic risk models on human complex traits such as hs-CRP, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, tuberculosis, cancers, etc., using various statistical approaches such as polygenic/non-genetic risk scores, meta- and survival analyses, linear mixed model, and liability threshold model. Among my investigations, some papers were published during academic degrees; others are ongoing topics such as intracranial aneurysm, Huntington’s disorder, osteoporosis, liver functions, cancers (e.g., hepatocellular and lung carcinomas), etc. These subjects are described in more detail in my accompanying curriculum vitae (CV).
Listed skills include Python, Medical Genetics, Computational Biology, Data Analysis, and 14 others.
