The Center for Theoretical Physics is a vibrant research center in the central university Jamia Millia Islamia. It was established in the year 2006.During the last three years, Center for Theoretical Physics (CTP) has grown into a leading center for research in the country, and is the only centre in Delhi which is solely dedicated to research in theoretical physics. The Centre's activities are mainly in the areas of astrophysics, gravitation, cosmology and high energy physics. A significant number of scientists visit the centre each year, participating in workshops, seminars, training courses, and a range of other scientific activities.

Studies in Astroparticle Physics reveal fundamental relationship from both theoretical and observational points of views between astrophysics, cosmology, nuclear and particle physics. They involve hundreds of scientific groups linked by national centers and regional networks (like ASPERA/ApPEC in Europe ). The exciting progress in these studies will have impact on the fundamental knowledge of the structure of microscopic world and Universe and on the fundamental physical laws of Nature.

The aim of IAGRG is to promote interest in the phenomena related to Gravitation and to facilitate research in the related areas
