I am a neuroscientist turned social entrepreneur, co-creating a (working) world that allows every human to feel they belong, their voice matters, and their being is valued.I founded Dr. Mega Consulting (www.dr-mega.com) in 2018, with the mission to co-create a more just and equitable (working) world for all humans. My vision is a world in which every person feels a sense of belonging and dignity. I am engaged in the work of dismantling systems of oppression & acknowledge that this needs to start with myself. Together, my team & I are working towards this mission by supporting organizations on their transformation into spaces where every human can feel safe, seen, and valued in the full expression of their humanity. I am proud to have nurtured this venture into a growing team of predominantly queer digital natives from around the globe, holding different gender- & cultural identities and abilities. We have contributed to various initiatives in the areas of leadership, culture change, and diversity, inclusion & belonging in the corporate as well as NGO sectors. Ultimately, we view the workplace as a lever to accelerate the United Nations' Social Development Goals 5, 8, 10, 16.Through my background in cognitive neuroscience, philosophy, and embodiment, as well as lived experience as queer, trans non-binary human, I bring deep expertise and a unique perspective to every space I co-create. My evidence-based, experiential & empathic approach has inspired sustainable change in teams and organizations across the globe. I am also a practitioner of mindfulness & engaged Buddhism in the lineage of Thích Nhất Hạnh, a vegan foodie and entirely obsessed with finding the perfect GIFs to express myself and sprinkle some silliness and joy to those around me.A fascination for the human mind led me to explore the topics of consciousness, emotions, and embodied cognition during my graduate studies spanning Neuroscience, Psychology and Philosophy at the Center for Integrative Neuroscience (Tuebingen), as well as working as Associate Fellow of the Einstein Foundation at the Berlin School of Mind & Brain, in the group on “Consciousness, Emotions and Values”.From 2015-2017, I co-lead the Center for Gender and Diversity Research in Tuebingen, working at the intersection of science, society and activism.
