Dr. Michael E. Nunez, is an environmental hazard management and engineering consultant. A past and present member of many government task forces and advisory committees that have helped shape local governments, national and international policies on research, science, education, and national security. Dr. Nunez is the National Vice-President for Green Technology and Sustainable Development of the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders' Association, Inc.(CREBA), Republic of the Philippines and served as Program Director for Education in CREBA Cebu Chapter. He was the former United Nations Montreal Protocol Technical Adviser for the Philippines and was responsible in drafting the Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) Country Phase Out Program and the framework for implementation, and its Information and Education Campaign. He was the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Environmental Health and Safety Expert who conducts the final safety audits for the Asia-Pacific Region Technology Conversion under the UN Montreal Protocol Multilateral funds. He founded the Asian Environmental Resource Center, Inc. in 1998.His inimitable approach to economic management of assets through the combination of management, financial, engineering, and other practices applied to physical assets such as plant, machinery, equipment, buildings and structures in pursuit of economic life cycle costs has made him a paragon of terotechnologist. He graduated with honors in 1979 and was awarded the Outstanding Alumnus in 1994 and the Millennium Award for his exemplary performance by the University of Cebu Alumni Association in 1999. The Governor of Kentucky and the Secretary of State bestowed the Highest Honor Kentucky Colonel Award to Dr. Nunez in 2007.
