Michael Pepe, DBA, is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Siena College School of Business. Teaching interests pertain to marketing strategy, retailing, marketing metrics, and international marketing. An integral component of my teaching methodology is application of all concepts presented to students that were developed during 19 years of professional marketing experience.My research has been published in areas involving branding, organizational commitment, point of sale data analysis, and customer lifetime value. Journal publications include The Journal of Product and Brand Management, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Business Case Studies, Journal of Marketing Development and Competitiveness, and the Journal of Business and Economics Research. I have been a member of the American Marketing Association for numerous years and am currently the co-advisor for the Siena student chapter.

Researched, identified and recommended strategic opportunities for growth at a platform, brand, and product level. Significant responsibilities included creating marketing and business plans for identified innovation projects. Analyzed disparate data sources such as consumer habits, sales and consumption trends, competitive activity, and promotional performance to build a strategic plan around clearly defined platform opportunities.

Analyzed and executed assortment, pricing, placement and promotional strategies of private label products. Coordinated promotional plans, display activity or special needs between category managers and buyers.

Managed procurement of products in the dairy, candy and dry grocery product categories. Exceeded budgeted service goals and inventory turns.
