I am an ecologist with over 30 years experience with interests in conservation and natural resource management. My work experience and research interests include environmental water management; freshwater ecology; endangered species conservation; environmental monitoring and decision making; climate change and capacity building. I have experience in a range of environments from Cambodian rainforests to the deserts of central Australia. I have worked in private consulting, government agencies, universities and international conservation NGO’s implementing and managing a range of complex research, education and infrastructure projects and programmes. I was the President of the Royal Society of South Australia from 2012-2014, am an editor of the Cambodian Journal of Natural History and I am on the editorial board of the Transactions of the Royal Society of South Australia. I have published thirty nine articles in peer reviewed journals, thee book chapters, three conference proceedings and forty eight reports.
