Because skills and knowledge are such valuable things that are tax-free and cannot be stolen. I love the challenges because one can improve oneself very rapidly when situations are difficult. It all began when, in spite of being a Hindi medium student, I chose to attend English medium coaching for my science and maths subjects. It gave me enough confidence to go deeper into the science stream in my career. I managed to get a scholarship for my engineering studies, and shifted away from home to learn new lessons in life. It was the guidance of my faculties and seniors that I was able to participate and win several competitions at various reputed platforms. Although I qualified for the GATE-2010 and got a good percentile to get admission in most reputed chemical engineering colleges, I chose to join Apcotex Ind Ltd as a production officer just to check how much I am ready to solve industrial problems. There I worked in close coordination with the R & D team in developing and standardising new products up to pilot plant level. It inspired me to re-join the college for my Master's course at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. It really is a wonderful place for all those who really want to know the meaning of research, which leads to solving the problems of industry and society. This environment inspires me to further explore the field of Chemical Engineering. With this in mind, I decided to enter academia as an Assistant Professor at NMIMS University, Mumbai, and there I enrolled as a research scholar to pursue my dream of doing a Ph.D. This profession teaches me the value of planning and structuring every big and small task. It greatly aids me in completing my PhD while also teaching and handling other college and family responsibilities. Achievements on various reputable platforms with my student teams give me a sense of fulfilment in my professional life. As a mentor, I got good teams to perform in various competitions such as KPIT-Sparkle, Transform Maharashtra, Smart India Hackathon and many more. I would like to grow in the same spirit of learning and performing. Further down in my career, I want to grow in my career by serving society at large by improving the performance of the chemical sector.
