Involvement:- Completed a month-long rotation with continuity clinic every other week at a federally funded hemophilia treatment center- Managed outpatient care for hemostatic and thrombotic disorders and conducted inpatient hematology consults as the sole resident, handling a high clinical volume- Implemented Comprehensive Care Clinics for ITP and von Willebrand disease across satellite centers in central and southern IllinoisHighlights:- Learned healthcare delivery models in a community setting with a large catchment population- Developed mentorship with Dr. Tarantino and Dr. Roberts, pursuing multiple research projects under their guidance- Learned patient care advocacy and logistics of running HTC

- Instrumental in setting the first ASCO recognized Indian Oncology Student Interest Group (OSIG) and recruiting medical students, residents, and fellows by conducting information seminars and membership drives.- Played a pivotal role in ensuring that medical students and residents are exposed to the field of Oncology by promoting participation in the annual Mumbai Hematology Group Quiz Contest, conducting a conference on palliative care by inviting esteemed speakers from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.- Plans to record and upload a series of podcasts highlighting career prospects in the field of Oncology and pocket review of common cancers.

- Rotating internship in all the core specialties involving inpatient and outpatient care at a tertiary-care government hospital with significant hands-on experience.- Responsibilities included ordering tests and interpreting results, diagnosis and medical treatment, and updating patient notes and discharge summaries.- Performed procedures such as obtaining intravenous access, catheterization, insertion of nasogastric tubes, and ascitic taps.- 24-hour ER duties which included managing medical, surgical and obstetric emergencies.- Stationed at rural healthcare centers to provide essential medical care, HIV prevention programs, immunization clinics, and community education.- Played an instrumental role in the institutional response to the COVID-19 pandemic by working in special screening OPD inpatient wards and ICU. World Health Organisation SOLIDARITY Trial 'An International Multi-centre Randomised Control Trial of additional treatments for COVID-19 in hospitalized patients who are all receiving the local standard of care.'- Was involved in obtaining Institutional Ethics Committee approval on changing protocols due to the dynamic nature of the trial.- Instrumental in screening and obtaining informed consent from patients, randomizing them, and making source document entries.- Stored, handled, prepared, and administered study drugs; maintained pharmacy logs; identified, managed, and reported serious adverse events.- Involved in the clinical management of patients, documented severity of the disease and its course.- Followed up with patients on an outpatient basis after discharge and participated in their rehabilitation.- Coordinated with India Council of Medical Research and the World Health Organisation on issues of investigational drug allotment, data entry discrepancies, and query resolution.

‘A Multi-Centric, Open-label, Two Arm Randomized, Pivotal Phase 2 Trial to Study the Efficacy and Safety of Itolizumab in COVID-19 Complications.'- Site with the maximum contribution to clinical trial: 11 patients participated.- Screened patients, obtained informed consent, enrolled patients, and made source document entries.- Performed blood draws, ordered relevant lab investigations and interpreted and documented them.- Stored, handled, prepared, and administered study drugs, maintained pharmacy logs, observed, reported, and treated serious adverse events.- Involved in the clinical management of patients, charted daily status using qSOFA scores, and interpreted X-rays.- Followed up with patients after discharge in the outpatient setting and participated in their rehabilitation.

"Anorexia Nervosa - What’s Eating You?"- Conducted a city-wide survey-based research project to evaluate body image perception in the age group 18-25 years across Mumbai.- Data was obtained from more than 1200 responses, submitted online.- My team and I gave oral presentations in Symposia at the following national medical conferences;1) 73rd Annual Conference, Bombay Medical Congress at the Indian Naval Health Services Aswini, Mumbai, India.
