I am an experienced radiation oncologist with a commitment to clinical excellence and continuously improving patient experiences, outcomes and standards of care. With attention to detail and focus on clear communication, I aim to ensure my patients feel well-informed, supported and empowered under my care. I provide consultation and treatment services at Icon Cancer Centre sites in Midland and Rockingham, Western Australia.I completed my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the Imperial College London in 2004. I received specialist radiation oncology training at The Christie Hospital in Manchester (UK) – the largest single site cancer centre in Europe. I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2014.Prior to my arrival in Australia, I spent nine years working as a radiation oncologist across The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and Lancashire Teaching NHS Hospitals. I also held appointments as lead cancer clinician for Lancashire NHS Foundation Trust, senior manager at independent health advisory and delivery organisation Attain, board member of the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration at the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, and chair of The Christie Proton Immobilisation Group and Supra-Regional Stereotactic Radiosurgery meetings.From 2018-2022, I helped establish the United Kingdom NHS sarcoma proton radiation therapy service. I was responsible for developing complex treatment plans for patients with sarcoma and spinal tumours. I co-led one of the UK’s busiest stereotactic radiation therapy services for brain tumours.I maintain a strong interest in clinical trials and enjoy supporting oncology education. I was an educational supervisor for oncology specialist trainees and allied health professionals. I have authored network cancer clinical guidelines, and audited services to enhance treatment protocols in line with the latest research evidence and guidelines. My clinical experience covers a broad range of tumour malignancies. I have specialist interests in lung cancer, brain and spine (CNS) cancer, genitourinary cancer, skin cancer, lymphoma, and stereotactic radiation therapy.
