This is complemented by membership of numerous industry boards and directorships.Analytic and strategic, as well as interpersonal and influential, I am adept at securing commercial partnerships and at expanding research scope and capabilities. This includes the sealing of multimillion-dollar funding deals for ground-breaking research facilities, and the cohesion and shared vision of multidisciplinary teams for major research organisations. At all times, I remain compliant with government and other regulatory obligations, while driving high-impact research innovation and advancement.Some of my most notable achievements include: ★ Helped initiate, establish and roll out a government-directed multimillion-dollar research facility project (Australian Synchrotron), including the research engagement functions. ★ Developed research governance and engagement strategy for well-regarded academic and scientific organisations, including RMIT and Space Environment Research Centre. ★ Delivered insights and expertise that ensured a multimillion-dollar research grants for Australian innovation projects were allocated to the most appropriate research bodies/organisations.★ Negotiated and secured commercially sound, industry-advancing research partnerships and agreements, within both local and international sectors/markets (incl. offshore research centres).★ Influenced a change in the Education Infrastructure Fund’s eligibility criteria, enabling the recently established Australian Synchrotron to obtain significant, growth-oriented research funds. ★ Initiated research engagement activities that reassured investors (incl. government), accessed latest innovations, safeguarded intellectual property, and strengthened multi-party collaborations.
