I am a Sports Medicine specialist at Back, Neck and Joint, and a qualified General Practitioner. I have more than 20 years of experience across a range of different medical fields, in emergency medicine, medical education, concussion research, nutrition, and weight loss. Across all avenues of my medical career, my ultimate passion is to help people feel healthy and pain-free – the best version of themselves.My experience with elite sport and related medical attention is vast, having worked as head doctor for Melbourne Demons AFL club for 8 years, as well as other positions including involvement with Melbourne Storm NRL and the Malaysian track cycling team. This experience has exposed me to a range of different pain conditions and ongoing and upcoming treatment methods. The rewarding nature of sports medicine inspired me to lend a greater focus to this area.With training in interventional pain by local and international experts, I also hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Monash University and a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University. I have been a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practice for over 10 years.I continue to see patients across a range of locations, consulting out of Back, Neck and Joint 3 days a week, and conducting procedures at Monash House Private Hospital. I am continuously driven in my work to deliver a holistic approach that enables a diverse range of pain patients to regain independence and autonomy over their lives.
