Amanda Cooper is the Associate Dean of Research and Strategic Initiatives in the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University. Dr. Cooper specializes in knowledge mobilization and translation, cross-sector collaboration, and measuring research impact across multi-stakeholder networks in public service sectors. Embedded in her work has been a cross-cutting line of inquiry focused on equity and social diversity exploring how the voices of communities might be amplified through multi-stakeholder co-production and collaboration. Dr. Cooper’s innovative research program RIPPLE (Research Informing Policy, Practice, and Leadership in Education) aims to accelerate research impact in public service sectors via multi-stakeholder networks including researchers, policymakers, practitioners, industry, NGOs, and community partners. Dr. Cooper has a proven track-record of competitive grant funding totaling over $1,614,633 since 2012. Amanda has a strong publication record with 52 publications, and over 100 scholarly presentations. Amanda has taught 15 graduate courses (Combined teaching evaluation score 4.6/5.0, 92%), and 12 undergraduate courses (Combined teaching evaluation score 4.3/5.0, 86%). She is passionate about training Graduate students, and has mentored 24 students. She has held leadership roles at provincial (Ontario Education Research Panel) and national (Canadian Knowledge Translation and Exchange Community of Practice) levels, with advisory roles on international projects. Dr. Cooper is committed to providing training, tools, and resources to help researchers, organizations, and end-users measure, articulate, and improve the impact of their work using KMb practices to improve public service sectors and enhance the lives of Canadians.
