As Operations Manager, I am responsible for the day-to-day operation of Aquality. Daily tasks include managing and scheduling of up to six staff members, reviewing all proposals, project budgets, invoices and project deliverable's. In addition, I chair weekly staff and monthly health and safety meetings, communicate with clients on a daily basis and I am most often the first point of contact for new clients. I work with Project Managers and Field Technicians by providing advice, reviewing and monitoring project tasks and work as a team to complete the project. I ensure projects meet deliverable's on time and within budget. As Operations Manager, I have signing authority, and I work very closely with senior staff, and the Principal to meet financial business objectives.

In my role as project manager, I gained experience navigating the Provincial and Federal Regulatory requirements for all types of construction projects including recommendations and submission of regulatory approvals, Qualified Aquatic Environmental Specialist (QAES)/Qualified Wetland Aquatic Environmental Specialist (QWAES) assessments, environmental monitoring and associated reporting including to regulatory agencies, wetland assessments and wetland mitigation and compensation requirements, State of the Watershed Reporting, Watershed Managements Plans, water quality monitoring, municipal and private project drainage consultation and project management and a wide range of field activities. In addition, I have experience in presenting and organizing public consultation workshops and have developed an excellent working relationship with clients, other professionals and regulatory agencies. Office duties include organizing and entering field data, making graphs for reports, writing reports, editing reports, printing and collating reports, writing and sending in grant applications, and organizing conferences and funding.

As a junior project manager my main duties include writing, editing and producing reports and letters, maintaining and updating databases, taking soil samples in accordance with guidelines, following and carrying out health and safety practices, ordering, picking up and delivering soil samples to laboratories, interact and supervise operators, survey site locations and assist site supervisors as needed.
