Originally from Lake Jackson, Texas. Draymon J. Austin is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University where he received his bachelors degree in Communications. During his undergraduate years there at PVAMU he completed internships for 91.3 FM KPVU, an on-campus radio station, and KIAH-TV in Houston, Texas where he developed the skills necessary to work in the television and radio industry. He was a member of the National Association of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Campus Activities Board (CAB), and a four year cheerleader and captain that led the squad to two consecutive appearances at the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) Collegiate Championships in 2010 and 2011 where they competed against Division I universities and colleges.Upon graduation from Prairie View A&M University, his fashion retail job helped him showcase his excellent communications skills through customer service and sales as he was promoted to Team Leader where he trained newly hired sales associates.Afterwards Mr. Austin accepted a coaching position and then became Program Coordinator of the cheerleading program at Mazeika's Elite Gymnastics where he created the program from the ground up before furthering his coaching career. A growing passion for coaching inspired him to pursue a career in teaching in the Houston Independent School District while being enrolled in an alternative certification program.
