Packt launched Expert Network as a platform to amplify key voices in the most important emerging and established tech areas. As a Producer I researched markets to find big new ideas, built relationships with key tech influencers, and developed innovative titles and marketing approaches for Packt's headline books.

Video became a key strategic growth driver for Packt. As Managing Editor I was responsible for the commissioning strategy, product design, and quality of our video products. I trained editorial teams, led editorial board meetings, and built a product slate and editorial system that enabled us to rapidly scale the Packt Video business while keeping costs low.

As Packt continued its rapid growth, a more mature approach to product management was needed. I prototyped Packt's product management function and took responsibility for a range of products and initiatives. I led the launch of Packt Video, Packt's first non-book product, oversaw commissioning strategy across the product portfolio, and introduced new book.

As Publisher I designed and implemented the brand and content strategy for our Game Development and Mobile Development line up. Managing a team of Acquisition Editors, we entered new markets and built the most successful Packt sub brand, supporting and enabling Packt's continued growth.

I was invited to join Packt as a garage-based start up, prototyping the crucial Acquisition Editor role. I was responsible for developing a pipeline of commercially successful technical books. The role involved market research, proposition development, headhunting subject experts, contract negotiation, coaching new authors, and managing projects from.
