I provided individual, family and group therapy for adolescent males requiring the highest level of care. Treatment sessions were held at CHOR's residential facility, at a client's home, or while participating in activities within the community. CHOR is a Sanctuary Certified Agency specializing in trauma-informed treatment. Clients presented with a history of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse and/or neglect and had been convicted of sexual offenses. Many were in the foster care system, had been diagnosed with co-morbid organic cognitive deficits, autism spectrum disorders, fetal alcohol syndrome, and had involvement with outside agencies (CYS, JPO).Treatment techniques used: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation with Modified Prolonged Exposure, Sexual Offender Treatment for Adolescents using 5 level system to indicate treatment completion (Focuses on Boundaries and Accountability, Cycle of Awareness, Empathy, and Relapse Prevention). Treatment focus often targeting self-harm, suicidality, substance dependence, and/or trauma for clients diagnosed primarily with Borderline Personality Disorder (DBT Unit) or Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective Disorder (Dual Diagnosis).
