I am a Registered Psychologist and the Vice President of Child and Youth Services at The Centre for Child Development in Surrey, BC.At The Centre, I lead the Division of Child and Youth Services (CYS) which encompasses a wide array of services including mental health, social work, parent support, key worker services and the Early Years Hub. The Division of CYS also includes both The Centre’s intake team and the regional Central Speech Referral Service, which together manage over 5,000 requests for service each year. I also serve as The Centre's privacy officer. My clinical interests include psychological assessment and psychotherapy with children and youth with developmental disabilities and their families. I also hold an appointment as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Victoria. My research interests include cognitive rehabilitation in children and youth with neurodevelopmental disorders and developmental psychopathology in children and youth with disabilities. My recent research has focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children and youth with disabilities and their families. I have been a co-investigator on projects funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Mitacs, and Kids Brain Health Network.I received a Ph.D. in clinical-child psychology from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. I completed my clinical internship at Children's Memorial Hospital (now The Ann and Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital) in Chicago, IL and my post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University Alpert Medical School in Providence, RI.
