PSYC 105, Critical Thinking Through Problem AnalysisDevelopment of basic skills in critical thinking including identifying and understanding common fallacies, recognizing techniques of persuasion and propaganda, problem solving strategies, and applying skills of critical thinking to the complex issues of everyday life.PSYC 421, Advanced Seminar in Psychology: Developmental:A review of selected research areas in the fields of child and life-span developmental psychology. Students will develop an advanced project. As described on the syllabus, this was a discussion-based course I designed to "provide a fresh look at familiar theory and findings on human development by attempting to locate them within a multicultural context. Culture, however, will be defined quite broadly to include the ways in which an individual’s gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic class, cohort, geographic region, etc., affect the course of development. For each age period from infancy through adulthood, we will consider selected physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive changes from a multicultural perspective."

Instructor for PSYC 305L, Laboratory in Cognitive Psychology:Laboratory course to accompany PSYC 305. Apply theoretical and experimental principles and findings in cognitive psychology. Design, conduct, analyze, interpret and present empirical research. Requires written research reports.
