My role in this position is to provide support, assistance, guidance, information, and training to Public Safety Department employees regarding all aspects of health, wellness, and resiliency.

In collaboration with the NLEOMF Office of Officer Safety and Wellness along with other subject matter experts, I provide expertise in the development of resources for the SAFLEO Program, a joint effort between NLEOMF and the Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance. SAFLEO stands for Suicide Awareness for Law Enforcement Officers.

Our unique training program helps first responders understand how the stresses of the job impact them mentally, emotionally, physically, behaviorally, and spiritually, and also helps them see how certain skills can make them more resistant to stress and more resilient when a major stressful event occurs.
